Has 2020 Been a Good Year?

Due to the COVID-19 dangers we have been staying close to home. It has been a year with many problems. Many have lost loved ones or trying to recover from the virus. Untold numbers have lost jobs, and many good businesses forced to close.

Congress passes legislation honoring fallen journalists

The Fallen Journalists Memorial (FJM) Foundation thanked the U.S. Senate for passing bipartisan legislation (H.R. 3465) to authorize the foundation to establish a national memorial that honors reporters, editors, photographers and broadcasters who have lost their lives reporting the news.

37 Years Ago December 1, 1983 Alicia Lackey daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wade Lackey of San Saba won All-District in the District Band Contest held in Llano Saturday, November 19. Alicia is a freshman at San Saba High School and has played the clarinet in the band for the past five years.

FREE COVID Testing in San Saba

Three days of FREE Covid-19 testing will be available in December. Dr. Whiting will be working with Marsha Hardy and the City of San Saba to set up a testing site at the Civic Center from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, the 10th & 17th, and 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday the 16th.
