Receipts totaled 5,693 head. A choice offering of calves and yearling were on hand with a lot of activity and strong demand. The stocker steers were $2-$4 higher, and heifers were $5-$6 higher with 5 steers 556 lbs at $160.00 ($889.60).

Texas Means Friendship In late February, a Uvalde County game warden contacted the Uvalde County Emergency Management Chief about getting pallets of bottled water for the Rocksprings school.
60 Years Ago - BUILT IN 1910–– The $40,000 sandstone grammar school building will soon be leveled saddening many hearts who still have cherished memories about it. Materials for the building came from different points in Texas and Louisiana and were brought here part of the way by mule trains. 60 Years Ago May 18, 1961 The members of the City Council, at the meeting on May 8, voted to remove chains from the entrances of the park in order that officers may drive through to patrol the area during the closing period, James Reavis, city secretary, stated.
