Rotary May Student-of-the-Month

Rotary May Student-of-the-Month was awarded to Reagan Mejia. Each month, a different senior student is awarded. Awards are based on leadership, character, teacher nominations, and a personal essay written by the student. Recipients are presented to the student body as well as the school board.

Keep San Saba Beautiful holds Stan Weik Memorial Bench Dedication

The community was invited to join KSSB at Mill Pond Park for a dedication ceremony, memorial of former City of San Saba Manager, George S. “Stan” Weik. Through a KSSB project, a beautiful horseshoe formation bench (designed by Jose Rodriguez, Jr.

Receipts totaled 1,611 head with no sale in Mason due to Easter. The stocker steers sold fully steady with 12 head 475 lbs at $196.00 ($931.00) and 4 head 585 lbs at $178.00($1041.30). The stocker heifers were steady with 4 head 431 lbs at $180.00 ($775.80).

Disaster relief fund assistance applications are open

For cattle raisers financially burdened by March wildfires, assistance is on the way. Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association opened applications for the TSCRA Disaster Relief Fund. Applications will be accepted within 60 days of when the damage took place.
