Mason - San Saba~December 19, 2022 Receipts totaled 640 head with no sale at San Saba due to the Christmas Holiday. The market opened the week with a steady tone on all classes of calves and yearlings. Stocker steers and heifers both sold steady with 5 steers 378 lbs at $226.00 ($854.28).

“Best Ever” SSGC Christmas Party ~ catered by The Filling Station

This year’s San Saba Garden Club (SSGC) Christmas Party was a resounding success. Gail Bruner, club member for over 20 years, declared it the “best ever,” and everyone agreed it was an event to remember.
Bridgett Macedo, Utility Billing Coordinator, was given the Employee of the Month for December. Taking part in the presentation were Charlene Lindsay, City Treasurer, (to Bridgett's right) and Alderman Michael Nelson (to Bridgett's left). Letters to Santa

This year, the news staff had extra help typing all those wonderful letters to Santa. Thank you goes out to Cherokee, Richland Springs, and San Saba, ISD teachers! All our teacher/ elves who helped out in the typing were entered in a drawing to receive $ 100.
