Knights of Columbus present Liturgical Vestments

The Knights of Columbus council of San Saba presented Fr. Jojappa Polisetty with four Liturgical Vestments at mass this past Sunday. The Liturgical Vestments are the colors that a priest wears during liturgy.The color green is worn for the majority of the year during what we call “Ordinary Time.

This cold weather reminds me of the times my wife and I would be feeding sheep. It seemed like dry weather and cold winters went together. It is hard on livestock as well as those taking care of them. We had to feed them to keep them alive.

San Saba water main break leads to Boil Water Notice

On the afternoon of January 25, 2026, the San Saba Water Department received a call of a water leak at the intersection of West Church and West Street by the Housing Authority.When we arrived, we saw water bubbling out of the ground and decided at that point where we needed to dig to find the leak.
The Richland Springs Preservation Society Potluck for last Sunday was cancelled because of the winter weather event. It has been rescheduled for Sunday, February 15th. Mason & San Saba Thursday, January 22, 2026Receipts totaled 1,927 head. The market on the stocker steers and heifers was softer this week with 4 steers 568 lbs at $ 432.50 ($ 2456.60). The feeder steers were lower to uneven with 4 steers 638 lbs at $415.00 ($2647.70).
