Mason - San Saba July 18, 2024Receipts totaled 2,084 head. Demand continued to be very good this week. Stocker steers and heifers sold steady. Feeder steers sold steady with 19 steers 745 lbs at $250.00 ($1862.50) and 2 steers 870 lbs at $ 228.00 ($1983.60).

The Richland Springs Report

We are supposed to have rain all this week. So far, we’ve had a sprinkle here at the house, but the coolness is refreshing. I am aware, as someone told me, that August is coming, but I’m going to enjoy the cool while I can.

Science Mill offers Homeschool Days for 2024-2025

The Science Mill in Johnson City is now accepting registrations for 2024-2025 Homeschool Days. The program is open to homeschoolers, homeschooling groups, learning pods, and students with asynchronous schedules for children between the ages of 5 and 17.

Richland Springs Preservation Society

The Richland Springs Preservation Society held their regular meeting on Tuesday evening July 16th.Sue Ransom is the new President; Frankie Soto Junior, treasurer; and Chrissy Baker is the Recording Secretary. Dee Crump will be acting as communications director.

Giving of yourself to help others

San Saba Emergency Management sponsored a Blood Drive last Tuesday; it was held at San Saba’s First Baptist Church.A crew from Baylor Scott & White in Temple came to run the blood drive with San Saba County Emergency Management Coordinator Marsha Hardy.

Hill Top Plat Application finally approved by Court

The Hill Top Plat Application was finally approved by the Commissioners Court at their meeting on July 22, 2024.The extra wells were drilled, and the report was submitted. The engineer approved it.
