The wedding tent is down, the guests have gone home, and peace reigns once again at the Hopson house. My sisters and I have put the last of the food away, changed beds, and put all trash in the bins for trash day. It was an exciting but wearying week.
I met my great-great niece Dakota. The two greats are not an error. She was the cutest little one-year-old, but this was her first time to be in a large crowd. She held on to her daddy like a little Koala bear.
One of the unique features of my Ashley’s wedding was th two-step dance the entire assembly did. Ashley is a member of the Algonquin Tribe, and this was an important part of sharing her ancestry.
I’ll be home by Friday in time to write a little more in next week’s paper. As soon as I sent this in to the paper, I’m headed for the boat for a little fishing with my sisters and Dave, our captain. See you all soon. School starts net week for teachers.
Please pray for our flood victims, storm victims, and those in the hospital. Pray for our government and most of all pray for our precious troops and their families..
