San Saba County has spoken and has made their voices known. Of those registered to vote in San Saba, 1,110 chose to vote early in the 2022 Mid-Term Elections. According to poll workers, Mabel Ann Blaylock and Sylvia Mc-Gregor, they were so busy they didn’t have time to stop for lunch on the day I went to cast my early ballot.
According to Kim Wells, San Saba City/District Clerk, this is the largest early voting turnout in San Saba County since the 2016 Presidential Election. The only contested local race in the county is for School Board for Cherokee ISD, and she said this may have contributed to the large turnout.
The polling site in San Saba on Tuesday morning had quite a bit of traffic with a line much of the time.
Many folks all around the country were up late Tuesday night as they watched the elec-tion predictions being made, and sometimes being changed back and forth through the night. Final results in some races around the country might not be known for days or weeks.
