This year’s Llano County Beef & Range Field Day is set for Tuesday, June 1, 2021. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the John L. Kuykendall Arena & Events Center, 2200 Ranch Road 152, about 1.7 miles west of Llano. The program will begin promptly at 8:30 a.m., and there is no charge to the participant. Coffee and donuts will be sponsored by Llano Feed and Supply and the Hill Country Livestock Raisers’ Association.
Topics and speakers for the sessions will be: *Herbicide applications that best fit the Situation and the proper Application Protocols, Jamie Halfmann and Tanner Chancelor; *Picolinc Acid Chemistry Training: A Requirement for Application of Invora Herbicide, Dr. Robert Lyons, Professor and Extension Range Specialist; *Landowner rights and handling of Pesticide and Herbicide treatments, Dr. Mark Matocha, Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist/ Ag & Environmental safety; *Freeze Damaged Trees, Robert Edmonson, Biologist with the Texas Forest Service.
A BBQ lunch will be provided by Cooper’s BBQ. The meal is being sponsored by Arrowhead Bank, BancorpSouth Bank, Llano National Bank.
We will be offering three (3) continuing education units for people who have a private, commercial, or non-commercial pesticide applicators license. These hours will be one in general, one in integrated pest management, and one in laws/ regulations.
