The Third Annual Heart of Texas Honky Tonk Festival will be held at the Ed Davenport Civic Center in Brady, Texas, on August 16-19. The event benefits the Heart of Texas Country Music Museum, which is a 501c3 non profit organization.
Tickets are $25 per person per day and includes both band performances each evening. The event is BYOB and concessions are available. Tickets are on sale at www.heartoftexascountry. com or by calling (325) 597-1895.
The Heart of Texas Welcome Party will be held on Wednesday, August 16, as The Kenaston Band will be performing from 6-10 p.m. at the TruCountry Hotel Ballroom in downtown Brady. The Welcome Party is a free event.
On Thursday, August 17, The Weldon Henson Band will perform from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. followed by The Rocky King Band from 9 p.m. to Midnight at the Ed Davenport Civic Center.
On Friday, August 18, Justin Trevino and Sharon Kenaston will be doing a Heart of Texas Facebook Live from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at the Heart of Texas Country Music Museum. Landon Dodd & The Dance Hall Drifters then perform from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. followed by Jody Nix & The Texas Cowboys from 9:00 p.m. to Midnight at the Ed Davenport Civic Center.
On Saturday, August 19, a Heart of Texas Facebook Live Show will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. from the Heart of Texas Country Music Museum featuring Nashville recording artist Joe Rucker and Shalane. The festival concludes on Saturday evening at the Ed Davenport Civic as the Justin Trevino Band performs from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. and Jeff Woolsey & The Dance Hall Kings close out the festival with a performance from 9 p.m. to Midnight.
“Our 2022 Heart of Texas Honky Tonk Fest was a huge success last year” Event Organizer Tracy Pitcox said. “We sold over 1,200 tickets and had fans from all over the country return back to the Heart of Texas to enjoy three days of great music from some of the best dance bands in the state of Texas. We are certainly looking for another great event in 2023.”
