Damage from strong winds hit San Saba County with a wallop shortly after the Ribbon Cutting of the Stan Weik Memorial Splash Pad last Tuesday, May 28th.
There were reports of downed power lines and power outages around town.
Everyone was happy the stormy weather we have had for several weeks took a break so the Kids Nature Kamp could still go take place. However, all around their stations at the park, you could see the damage from the strong winds sustained last week.
Some of these photos were taken at Risien Park and the LCRA Nature Park on the Kamp Kids' first day of camp. Others were sent to us by our citizens.
