The Llano Country Opry will stage the Heart of Texas Christmas Show “Heart of Texas Honky Tonks and Mistletoe” at the Lantex Theater in Llano, Texas, on Saturday, December 9, beginning at 2:30 p.m.

Heart of Texas Honky Tonks And Mistletoe is a very exciting show highlighting some of the biggest hits from Country Music’s past and bringing special Christmas memories to the audience. Heart of Texas Recording Artists Tony Booth, Darrell Mc-Call, Dottsy, Mona McCall and Justin Trevino gather together to present a show that will long remembered.

The first half will feature great traditional country music hits from our Heart of Texas Recording Artists. After intermission, the second half will consist of all of our artists on stage at the same time sitting on stools talking about their favorite Christmas memories and singing their favorite Christmas songs. It will be MC’d by Texas Country Music Hall of Fame Disc Jockey Tracy Pitcox.

Tony Booth gained fame by working for Buck Owens as a front man and bass player. He branched out on his own with major hits including “Cinderella” “Keys In The Mailbox” “Close Up The Honkytonks” and “Lonesome 7-7203.” After a twenty-year absence, he signed with Heart of Texas Records. His latest project is titled “Something About You Baby I Like.” He was awarded the Male Vocalist of the Year award by the Academy of Western Artists in 2011 and album of the year in 2021.

Darrell McCall is a legendary Texas dance hall entertainer with many hits to his credit including “Dreams of A Dreamer” “It’s The Water” “There’s Still A Lot of Love In San Antone” and his duet with Willie Nelson on “Lily Dale.” He started in the business as a bass player and harmony singer for some of the greats in the industry including Ray Price, Faron Young and Carl Smith. During that time, McCall took lessons while working stages all over the world with these industry icons. During the last few years, he has been recording for Heart of Texas Records with three very successful albums to his credit including “Old Memories And Wine” “Keeping With Tradition” and his latest “From The Heart.”

Seguin native Dottsy had numerous hit records on RCA including “I’ll Be Your San Antone Rose” “We Still Sing Love Songs In Texas” “Tryin To Satisfy You” “After Sweet Memories Play Born To Loose Again” and “Storms Never Last”. She toured all over the world and made several appearances on the Grand Ole Opry. She is now working with Heart of Texas Records and released “Meet Me In Texas” as well as her follow up project “Texas Sensation.” Both albums have received rave reviews all over the world.

Canadian born Mona McCall began working as a drummer for various entertainers that toured Canada. Mona recorded some singles while in Canada under the name of Mona Vary. She was hired by Audrey Williams as part of her organization in the 1960’s. After marrying Darrell McCall, she stayed home and raised their two children. She has recently recorded her first album “Memories Love A Melody” on the Heart of Texas Record label and is a featured part of the Darrell McCall show.

Justin Trevino is no stranger to Traditional Country Music fans. Trevino has released nine successful albums. He will be playing bass throughout the roadshow and adding some of his personal favorites as well including “Texas Honkytonk” “Undo The Right” and songs off of his new album “Justin Trevino Live At London Dance Hall.”

Allison Crowson has been performing at Opry shows and dance halls for over thirty years. She has recorded a very successful CD project and owns the White Horse in Burton, Texas. She also promoted the Bluebonnet Opry for many years in Brenham and travels with the Heart of Texas group at various times throughout the year.
