The Bend News

Sorry to report that there is very little to report this week.

The virus has been the cause of no visitors coming in to visit relatives. No news to report on that.

As long as the virus is raging, there may not be much news in the following weeks. Remember to wash your hands and if you have to go out, wear a mask. Stay safe!

The Colorado River is still running full, which may delay some of the fishing for a time, as it is muddy right now. It should start clearing up soon.

Have received no reports on the fishing prospects. It has been reported that the fishing camps are closed. You are advised to call before trying to camp at any of them.

The only good news is the rain we have received and the bad news is everyone is having to get their lawn mowers going as the grass seems to grow a couple of inches over night, but no one is complaining.

The Bend Store is reopening and will be serving customers once again.

Sad to report that Jack Danials passed away Monday, April 20th, and was buried at High Valley Cemetery. He will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.

The prayer list remains the same. On the list are Phil B Mc-Coury, Earl Ray Sutton, Jerry Reavis and Pete Henniger and of course it goes for their families also. Earl Ray Sutton and Phil B are the only ones that do not have cancer.

Happy birthday greetings go out to Robert Brooks who will celebrate a birthday April 24, to Thadus Scroggings who will celebrate a birthday April 25, to Walter Brister and Oshua Henniger who will be celebrating their birthdays April 26, to Lee Matthews who will be celebrating a birthday April 28, and to Dan Harington and Anthoney Henniger who will be celebrating their birthdays April 29.

Congratulations go out to Jim and OraBeth Hicks who will be celebrating their anniversary April 29.
