There was a Youth Taco fundraiser after church at Northgate Church Dresden Sunday, November 6th. It was made an authentic Mexican meal because Bianca gave the blessing in Spanish.
Sunday evening I enjoyed a wonderful concert by The Columbus Symphony at the Secrest Auditorium in Zanesville, Ohio. My eyes and ears were on the three French Horn players because I played the French Horn in the Jefferson High School band in Dresden, Ohio, and The San Saba River City Band. I was delighted that three former members of the Friendship Seven SweetAdelines were at the concert two rows up from where I sat. I sang baritone with these gals when I lived near Zanesville years ago, so we enjoyed seeing each other after many years and shared about our current lives.
Yes, music has been a BIG part of my life. When I lived in Millersburg, Ohio, I sang baritone with the Holmes Echo Hills Chapter of Sweet Adelines and Alto II with the Singing Women of Texas (SWOT) when I lived in San Saba, Texas. Most of the concerts with SWOT were two to three hours away from San Saba, but the drive seemed short because Karen, Charlotte and I shared our lives as we sang and prayed together.
