Twenty years ago. . . seems so unreal as I recall this so vividly. Recalling the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil, the single deadliest incident in U.S. history, brings much sadness to my heart, especially today as we see the trying times our country is experiencing. Yet Romans 12:21 says: “. . . do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
As we mark the passage of two decades since the day that changed our lives forever, our “good” is to focus on the brave men and women that made a difference that day and in our daily lives today – our First Responders.
On Saturday, 9-11, at 9:00 a.m., a ceremony will be held in remembrance of all the lives lost 20 years ago in this horrific tragedy. Yet to overcome that day with “good,” we will recognize local First Responders.
All local First Responders are cordially invited to be acknowledged for their service. The community is asked to join us at the 9-11 Memorial located in Mill Pond Park for remembrance and in appreciation for First Responders.
