Mason & San Saba January 5, 2025Receipts totaled 2,342 head. The market continued strong this week with very good demand with a lot of activity. The stocker steers sold steady to $3 higher with 10 steers 581 lbs at $380.00 ($2207.80). The stocker heifers were $3-$4 higher.

The storms and rain just keep coming. We are very happy to have the rain. However, the storms that come with it do bring some challenges. Flooding. Hail. Strong winds.If you have storm damage, don’t forget to write down the date it happened for your insurance companies!

80 Years Ago June 14, 1945The many friends of Mrs. Geo. Smith of Richland Springs are proud to learn that she has accepted the position as head nurse at the San Saba hospital. We regret to lose Mrs. Smith as she has been a very useful nurse in our little town.
