Disaster Declaration

On July 5, 2025 the governor issued a disaster declaration for Kimble County and 20 other counties due to heavy rainfall and flash flooding.Tax Code Section 11.

Some celebrated....others watched in fear as it rained... and rained

While part of county celebrated Independence Day, the other side watched the San Saba river rise and rise and rise.Even though the San Saba Fireworks at Mill Pond Park were cancelled due to weather, the Cherokee fireworks were able to go on as scheduled.

June clean up day in Richland Springs

The citizens of Richland Springs came together the morning of Saturday, June 21st, to work together to spruce up Richland Springs downtown and city park. The clean up was sponsored by the Richland Springs Beautification Committee. There were volunteers of all ages, from 8-80, who came and helped.

The Richland Springs Beautification Committee is honored to have McKinnerney Real Estate sponsor our Yard of the Month again. The June Yard of the Month award goes to a deserving Judy Womack. Judy moved back to Richland Springs a few months back and has been working diligently on her yard.
