San Saba County Friends of Animals facing overload before shelter opens

San Saba County Friends of Animals is already in overload mode even though the new shelter has not officially opened. The organization currently has 10 adult dogs in care along with 21 newborn puppies, with six more puppies on a waitlist waiting to come into care as soon as space becomes available.

Shannon Wilson Callewart and Barbara Hunter, on behalf of the Texas Historical Foundation, came to San Saba to give a very generous presentation check to the San Saba Garden Club for the renovation of their historic clubhouse that was ruined by the floods in July 2025.

RSPS Community Potluck on Sunday

The windows in the Bank building are completely finished so repair work can begin upstairs and in the bank lobby. There will be a workday on Monday, March 23rd, to clean out debris from the upstairs area.
