FIRST TRAIN––This photo, which was taken some time in 1910 in San Saba County, was also submitted by Ray E. Graves. The photo was sent as a postcard to relatives of Mr. Graves back in 1911. According to the message printed on the picture, this was the first train to come through San Saba.

VARSITY ARMADILLO CAGERS––Here are the members of the San Saba Armadillo baskeball team, who will be competiing for the 9-AA Disrict championship title this season. The season for the team was delayed by the extended football season, but practice session and games are now underway. they are, left to right in the back row, Robert Jackson, Steve Slaughter, Dick Little, Bill Watkins and Gary Kemp. In the same order, the front row includes Johnny Oswald, Phil Letbetter, Mark Cooksey and Buster Carmouche.
