60 Years Ago March 12, 1944 Calvin Hector was elected to the San Saba Fire Department by members at the regular meeting. Hector will fill the place of the department due to the resignation of Red Nance who was moved to Lampasas.

Our speaker last Thursday was Mr. Ed Hamil who told his own story who as a 19 year old Marine volunteered to go to the jungles of Vietnam to fight the war against the communist regime of North Vietnam. Ed spent 15 months in the jungles of Vietnam.

San Saba Garden Club embraces spring at March meeting

On March 5, 2024, 16 members of the San Saba Garden Club (SSGC) gathered for their monthly meeting at the clubhouse in Old Mill Pond Park. Activities began at 2:00 p.m. under the capable guidance of President Debbie Shahan.
The sound pads and the old installation from the roof of the Civic Center is being removed. New spray on foam will be put in place for better insulation. Sky Trak was loaned to the City free of charge by James Burkett.
