Brandon Verette works for the City of San Saba in the Street Department. He was awarded the Employee of the Month award at the March City Council Meeting. Brandon has been with the City six month, and his supervisor, Luis Rios, stated Brandon is doing a great job and always stays busy.

70 Years Ago April 1, 1954 A good time was enjoyed by all who attended the Sinclair Farm Show at the club house in China Creek. The club women sponsored a pie supper and cake walk, and the Mauldin String Band was there to play some real good music.

Howdy. The San Saba County Texas A&M Club invites Aggies and friends of Aggies to join us on Sunday, April 21, 2024, for our traditional Aggie Muster. The gathering will be at the San Saba River RV Park Clubhouse from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

'Grub Snacks' - Volunteers helping out San Saba County children

Local churches and individuals have teamed up to help provide food bags for San Saba County children. For several years, “Grub Sacks” have been provided to area children to tide them over with food for over the weekend.

San Saba County Historical Commission and volunteers restore historic San Saba County Cemetery

This past Saturday, the San Saba County Historical Commission and volunteers, armed with a skid steer, chain saws, bypass loppers and a weed eater, began the recovery of a historic San Saba County cemetery.
