New Marketing Assistance now available for Specialty Crop Producers

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency’s (FSA) $2 billion Marketing Assistance for Specialty Crops (MASC) program, aimed at helping specialty crop producers expand markets and manage higher costs, is now accepting applications from December 10, 2024, through January 8, 2025.

Receipts totaled 2,575 head. The market continued it’s upward movement with stocker steers $25-$30 higher with 3 steers 432 lbs at $410.00 ($1771.20) and 14 steers 591 lbs at $298.00 ($1761.18). The stocker heifers were $15-$25 higher with 36 heifers 567 lbs at $277.00 ($1570.59).
