Newly elected officials were sworn in by San Saba County Judge Jody Fauley Monday morning, December 30th, in the San Saba County Courthouse, District Courtroom on the third floor.

Awaking to a New Year

They are safely in their underground burrows having survived last year and waiting for the warm spring weather of the new year. They are friendly, sociable, live in groups and are primarily vegetarians. The ground squirrels remind me of something in the Bible.

Angelo State University announces Fall 2024 Dean's List

Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, has announced the students achieving the Dean's List for the 2024 fall semester.To be eligible for the ASU Dean's List, full-time undergraduate students must maintain a 3.25 or better grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Richland Springs Preservation Society

The Richland Springs Preservation Society executive board has secured a private loan in the amount of $30,000 that will enable us to begin renovations on the Richland Springs Burleson Bank Building as early as February 15th, 2025. In addition, we have applied for one grant, and are seeking others.

On January 2nd, 3rd and 4th, the San Saba County Young Farmers hosted the 93rd Annual San Saba County Livestock Show and Sale. 4–H and FFA members from around the county gathered to show off their hard work with their livestock projects beginning with a poultry show on Thursday night.
