What a Wonderful Weekend!

Our children arrived, then a cousin I hadn’t seen in years and yes, some friends. We spent Saturday hanging out and visiting. We had a wonderful noon meal and lots of visiting, and all I can say is,” wonderful!”

Then Sunday morning we all went to Church and worshipped our living Savior.

I started thinking about what is really of value in life. I believe it comes down to three areas.

First and foremost is our relationship to God and our re-lationship with Him, (Matthew 6:33). Sadly, many do not have this special relationship with God, (John 8:19). Oh yes, they call out or cry out when they are in trouble, but otherwise have no use, need, or time for Him, (John 5:42, 9:31).

Second is family, and that at times takes an effort on all parties to keep it running smoothly. In our culture today, family has very little value. It’s all about the “me culture” with no marriages, failed marriages, fatherless homes or motherless homes, children raising themselves on social media or who knows what. Also, the depravity or our culture’s moral standards and what they are advocating or promoting today.

Finally, friends are so important. Also, I would include our Church family as I hold them very dear. The answer to our problems is the acceptance and worshipping of the crucified and risen Savior, Jesus Christ, (John 3:16, 10:14, 15, 10:27, 28).

See you in Church next Sunday.
