They are our unsung heroes, and you know God knew what He was doing when He created women. He knew that Adam needed help, so He created Eve to be his helper, (Genesis 2:18-24).
Women were created with a special task before God in that they stand beside their husband if they feel led to marry. They were designed by God to bear children, which men can’t, and were never designed to. They are multitaskers and are far greater at nurturing than men. Anytime we try to deviate from God's design and plan there will never be real peace, joy, and favor with God.
The Bible mentions some mothers that God used in great ways. Some who could not bear children pleaded with God to have children, and He answered their prayers such as Hannah, Samuel’s mother, (1 Samuel 1:9-11, 17, 20). Moses’ mother and what great lengths she went to save him and how God used him in a mighty way, (Exodus 1:15, 16, 27, 2:1-10). Timothy’s mother Lois and Eunice his grandmother had such a great influence on Timothy finding God, (2 Timothy 1:5). And how God was able to use Timothy to bring many to faith in Jesus Christ, (Romans 5:8).
Women have a special role especially in the home and in their behavior, dress, and lifestyle to honor God, (Titus 2:3-5). So, this Sunday, let’s be in Church and pay a special tribute to honor all mothers.
