Santa and Mrs. Claus came to visit the families and community members at Santa’s Workshop, hosted by San Saba Elementary, on Saturday, December 3, 2022. A wonderful crowd of students, parents, and other community members enjoyed a wonderful morning of festive activities! Everyone enjoyed services provided by San Saba High School students, including delicious hot chocolate and snacks provided by the SSHS TAFE (Texas Association of Future Educators) students led by SSHS teacher Connie Powell, face painting and balloon art provided by the SSHS Art students led by SSHS teacher Shera Wright, and a wonderful performance by the SSHS Dilloettes. The SSES students also provided several melodious performances singing familiar festive songs taught by SSES music teacher Jessica Fuller and led by multiple SSES educators! San Saba’s First Baptist Church Children’s Ministry provided a fun craft of ornament making led by Kelli Barker, and the SSES teachers helped students with another creative craft. There were also several shopping opportunities provided by local vendors such as Rosemary Cisneroz with Alamo Pecan, Jessica Isham and Danna Smith with Plunder Design, Terri Ellis with Patty Cake Confections, and Audrey Smith and April Reyes with Homespun Clay & Company. When asked, several SSES students said that the main event involved visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, where children of all sizes and ages received candy canes and Christmas stickers while sharing their Christmas wishes!
