San Saba Garden Club reveals August's Yard of the Month

The San Saba Club is pleased to present the August Yard of the Month to Javier and Elia Baez. This very eyepleasing home is located at 806 W. Gulf Street.

The front porch features hanging baskets with several potted plants in different shades of pink. Along the west fence are various plants in pots, as well as evergreen shrubs. The plush, well-manicured grass is St. Augustine with two Crepe Myrtles that are centered on each side of the yard. There are rows of very colorful periwinkles which flank each side of the center sidewalk.

In 2012, the Baezes added a new carport with a two-story addition with two bedrooms. Just past the carport is the entrance to the backyard. This backyard has a cute playhouse with playground fun. The very unique rustic tin fence was built by Javier and help from family members. The fence enclosure goes around the entire backyard.
