A Christmas party filled with joy and Christmas music was held at the old San Saba Hotel on Thursday evening, November 30th.

A large crowd of more than sixty people from the San Saba and Brady, Texas chapters of Rotary International met at the lovely old San Saba Hotel at 6:00 p.m. Thursday. The joint Christmas party last year was held in Brady and this year it was time for San Saba to reciprocate!

Guests were served wine and other refreshments in the former lobby of the beautifully refurbished old hotel built in 1928, now a private home of San Saba residents and hosts,Kay and Al-bert Stowell! Many, many thanks to the Stowells for their generosity in the use of their home!

A huge twelve foot lovely decorated Christmas tree was centerpiece to the merry groups which sang Christmas carols and visited in anticipation of dinner!

At a signal from the cooks, Buck Gilcrease, Marcus Woods, and Frank Pearce, the crowd moved into the large decorated dining area where San Saba Rotary president Buck Gilcrease welcomed the two Rotary memberships! Delicious chicken and huge steaks cooked outside on the grill were served with great side dishes to the delight of the hungry folks!
