Richland Springs Preservation Society

The Richland Springs Preservation Society held its regular meeting Tuesday evening, March 18th.

In order not to conflict with the RS school One Act play fundraiser, the decision was made to move the next Potluck Lunch fundraiser for the Preservation Society to Sunday, April 6. People may drop off their Crockpot dish or other food off at the RS Community Center before church, and serving will begin at 12 noon. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy fellowship with the community while supporting the Preservation Society and the restoration of the 1910 Bank Building. Along with the pot-luck meal, there will be several items up for auction. It will be a silent auction, so people may put in their bids, and the winning bids will be notified by phone if they are not able to stay until the end.

Plans are being made for the Preservation Society's participation in the annual July celebration. We will be selling Cool Treats in the Bank building. People will be able to have something cool to snack on, and see the progress being made in the building renovations.

Franky Soto Sr. checked with the roofing company contracted to repair the roof of the bank building, and they are on schedule to begin work Monday, March 24th. Once the roof is done, work on the interior can proceed.

The next meeting of the Preservation Society will be the third Tuesday of April, the 15th, at 6 p.m. in the RS Community Center. Everyone is invited to come participate. Anyone who does not receive the quarterly newsletter and would like to, send either your email address or your mailing address to rsps.communications@gmail.com.
