Property reappraisal in Richland Springs

Property reappraisal has begun in Richland Springs for the 2024 tax year. An employee from the San Saba Central Appraisal District will be going through the Richland Springs area and updating pictures and information on improvements. The appraiser will have a sign on the side of his pickup showing that they are with the appraisal district, and he will have an identification with him. If any taxpayer is concerned about their legitimacy, they should call the Appraisal office at 325-372-5031. No appraiser will ever ask to come into anyone’s house. If anyone represents themselves as employees of the district or contractors and asks to see the interior of a taxpayer ’s home, they should be denied access, and the taxpayer should call law enforcement.

The San Saba Appraisal office will also be mailing out Ag applications and Homestead Exemptions that need to be updated. If you receive any of these applications in the mail, please return them to the appraisal office as soon as possible. If the applications are not returned, the homeowner could lose some of their exemptions on their property.
