The March meeting for the Pierian Club was held at the San Saba County Historical Museum on Thursday, March 9. Hostesses for the St. Patrick's themed gathering were Stephanie Huff, Janis Murray, Shelley Jones, and Sandra Smith.

Gale Ivy introduced guests, Lynn and Jerry Blankenship. Lynn is the president of the historical foundation, and Jerry is a board member and the historian. Jerry presented a program on the origin of museums and how the San Saba museum 'Came to Be.' The presentation was very informative, highlighting not only local historical information, but also facts of interest regarding the formation of our state's historical commission.
