Back-to-School Event: Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the San Saba Elementary School Gym, located at 701 E. Storey Street. A variety of essential back-to-school items will be distributed for Pre-K through 12 grade students. Supplies available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
BS&W Blood Drive Dates:
The remaining 2026 Blood Drive date is October 6th.
The San Saba County Historical Museum is open each Saturday and Sunday from 1:30 to 4:00. Admission is free.
Lunch at Senior Center - Monday -Friday at noon. Suggested donation: $3 for 60 and over; $7.25 for under 60. Call 325-372-5833 for reservations. Every F riday, there is Bingo at 11 a.m.
Ongoing Monthly Meetings
The San Saba River City Band - rehearsals on the 2nd Tuesdays of the month at Commercial National Bank Community Room at 6 p.m. Players are still needed. Those interested in being part of the band, please call Bill Grusendorf a call at 325-372 -5821.
Men’s Prayer Breakfast - Meet on the second Saturday of the month at 7:00 a.m. under the Tabernacle in Richland Springs (Will meet inside if needed due to weather.)
Richland Springs Preservation Society meetings will be held the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Richland Springs Community Center .
San Saba County Historical Commission - meets the first Tuesday of the month at the Rylander Library beginning at 1:00 p.m. Their meetings are open to the public.
Central Texas Food Bank - San Saba County food distribution - 4th Wednesday of the month, San Saba’s Civic Center, 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Please call the Hotline at 800-786-2616 to check if inclement weather or holidays will affect the normal schedule .
