Marathon Kids at San Saba Elementary

Students at San Saba Elementary have been working on earning miles and running a marathon since August 2023. Marathons are reached by kids finishing miles in achievable increments or completing minutes of heartpumping activity. All grade levels from PK3 through 4th grade participate every Monday, and currently our little Dillos have earned 3,495 miles. Students also have the option to run for extra miles on Thursdays. It is always so wonderful to see how many of our students choose to spend a portion of their Free Fun Thursday running to earn an extra mile or two. We have some dedicated and determined little Dillos!

SSES students who have completed a Marathon so far this year: 3rd Graders, Mauro Jimenez and Andres Rodriguez, and 1st Grader, Abigail Fuller.
