Lenny's Life Lessons

Hello, my San Saba loves, and how are you, my special hearts? Mom had a rough week, was not feeling so well, so we did a lot of couch time and I asked her about her life before me. The memories lit her heart up like a Christmas tree, she got up from the couch, brought over a small book written by Patches, and this week, I wish to share something he wrote with you guys!

From Patches of Brilliance…A Book of Blogs Good morning, folks. It is raining here in the beautiful Hill Country of Texas, and that can only mean one thing…Dad will be bored out of his mind. Hmm, is that an oxymoron? Can a person who forgets he is only wearing underwear as he walks out the door to go shopping really qualify as having the capacity to lose anything? I am not being mean; you would understand if you lived in this house. The other day, I had a panic attack because dad came in and after preparing himself a sandwich, he put me in the kitchen cabinet and let the bread outside in the yard to chase the squirrels! Thank goodness mom heard my cries for help!

Anyway, when it rains, dad sits on the couch, remote in hand, eyelids looking like plumped up pillows, swears he isn’t sleeping, and snores from both ends all day! I told mom the other day he should have been a special effects person because he made me completely disappear in a mushroom cloud and asked her if they made gas masks to fit dachshunds?

What I really want to know is how the man has worked in chemical plants for years and not set off every alarm!! Until later…Patches
