Receipts totaled 1,467 head. The market continued strong this week again with fat cattle and the futures board continuing to move higher. The stocker steers sold $5-$10 higher with 16 head at 384 lbs at $640.00 ($2457.60) and 2 steers 500 lbs at $528.00 ($2640.00). The stocker heifers were $6-$10 higher. The feeder steers were $8-$10 higher with 14 steers 741 lbs at $432.00 ($3201.12), and feeder heifers were steady to $3 lower with 3 head 627 lbs at $420.00 ($2633.40). Packer cows were $2-$3 higher with the top cow at $193, and packer bulls were steady to $3 higher with the top bull at $231. The 10 Grothaus Hereford bulls avg $6700 with the high bull at $9250. The 24 MP Brangus bulls avg $6750 with the top bull at $8750.
