Receipts totaled 1,225 head with no sale being held in Mason on Monday due to the Easter Holiday. The market was very strong on Thursday. The stocker steers were $5-$10 higher with 14 steers 477 lbs at $400.00 ($1908.00). The stocker heifers were $5-$7 higher with 5 heifers 498 lbs at $351.00 ($1747.98). The feeder steers were $7-$10 with 3 steers 607 lbs $380.00 ($2306.60), and 9 steers 722 lbs at $322.00 ($2324.84). The feeder heifers were $10 higher with 9 heifers 632 lbs at $319.00 ($2016.08). The packer cows were $1 higher, and packer bulls were steady. The pairs and bred cows were steady. The Shady Oaks 14 Charolais bulls avg $6429 and the 4 SimAngus bulls avg $6500, the 5 Sheldon Grothaus Hereford bulls avg $6050, the Yeager Valley Ranch 4 Angus bulls avg $4688, and the 9 Fuzzy Creek Angus bulls avg $4667.
