Receipts totaled 2,951 head for the week. The market climbed higher this week due to cooler and wetter weather across Texas and into Oklahoma and Kansas. The market has taken a sharp upward trend with stocker steers $8-$25 higher and stocker heifers $10$25 higher. Feeder steers were $6-$10 higher and feeder heifers $5-$14 higher. Packer cows were $5-$8 lower, and packer bulls $5-$10 lower. Schaefer Farms sold 29 registered Angus bulls averaging $6,434, and Shady Oak Farm sold 13 Charolais bulls averaging $6,538 with 4 SimAngus bulls averaging $5,900 and 2 Angus bulls averaging $,4650. The balance of the bulls sold well.
