Please join Rotary at Pepperbelly's for Lunch Thursday, November 17th. We will be hosting Richard S. McAlister from the American Red Cross. Richard is a meteorologist and multimedia journalist, living among the vineyards of the Texas Hill Country. He is a spokesperson for the American Red Cross in Texas, Kansas, and Oklahoma. He also serves as the Incident Meteorologist for the Southwest and Rocky Mountain Division of the American Red Cross, where he specializes in tropical weather plans and preparedness for Texas and Louisiana. He is a retired Air Force Officer and Chief Meteorologist at USAA. His wife, Kim, is a Professor of Medical Research and Informatics at a major university. They have two adult children and two shelter-rescued dogs. Richard is a U.S. National Senior Olympic Cyclist, currently ranked 15th nationally in the 5K sprint and currently the Texas Bronze Medalist.
