I knew I was loved!

My dad lived to be 84 and thankfully our family got to spend time with him until the end. He had kidney failure in his 70’s and lived the remaining years on dialysis. Thankfully my younger brother and sister in law lived nearby and took care of him for many years. Around 70 I think he realized he did not know Jesus Christ personally, went to his room, found his Bible, got on his knees, asked God to forgive him of his sins, asked Jesus Christ to come into his life and be his personal Lord and savior. Wow, I got a completely new dad. That reminds me of something in the Bible. God is a God of love, wants to bestow on us and has made His love available to us, (John 3:16, Romans 5:8, 1 Peter 3:18). We do not deserve His love as we are all sinners, (Isaiah 53:6, Romans 3:23, 6:23). But God reached down from heaven and provided a way our sins could be forgiven and have a new relationship with Him, (John 1:12). That is by repenting of our sins and putting all our trust in Jesus Christ who paid the price for my sins on the cross, (1 John 1:9). We stand before God either forgiven or unforgiven, (John 5:24). Bound for heaven or hell all depending on our relationship to Jesus Christ. See you in Church next Sunday.
