Guy Narcomey, Comanche Storyteller, to speak at museum annual meeting

Please join the museum trustees in welcoming Guy Narcomey of Lawton, OK, to San Saba on Sunday, June 1st, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at The Father’s House Fellowship Hall, 704 E. Commerce St. Guy will share his stories and songs after a very short business meeting. This opportunity to hear a Comanche Storyteller here in San Saba is free and open to all who are interested.

Guy Narcomey is a member of the Comanche Nation. Guy learned Comanche beginning with his grandmother. Later, Guy spent a great deal of time with his grandmother learning more about Comanche culture and language. Guy got a master’s degree in education and became a teacher at the Riverside Indian School and Comanche Nation college. Later, Guy decided to pursue language work full-time and became a consultant on Comanche language and indigenous culture.

Arrive early as there will be refreshments and fellowship beginning at 1:30. While at the meeting, you will also have the opportunity to support the museum with your membership.
