Decluttering seminar scheduled for May 7

People are increasingly overwhelmed by the clutter and disorganization surrounding them. On May 7, Mrg Simon, a certified KonMari consultant experienced in helping people eliminate clutter and find order in their space, will be in San Saba to share her expertise in this area. Whether it’s a bustling home, a busy work space or an office, Mrg helps individuals identify their vision and make it a sustainable reality. She is an expert in approaches to organizing, design, and communications, and has learned what does and what doesn’t work in the long run. She knows how to cut through the noise and clutter that add to the stress people feel in their lives and help them create enjoyable spaces.

A lawyer for over 30 years, Simon first became interested in the KonMari Method ™ after watching Marie Kondo’s series “Tidy Up,” on Netflix. She read all of Kondo’s books and enrolled in the Consultant Training Program in 2019. After a year of training, she became fully certified in 2020.

When asked about what makes the KonMari Method different from other organizing approaches, she said “It’s all about finding joy in your life - cultivating a lifestyle that brings you joy and fulfillment while creating a neat and tidy space. Decluttering is a transformative process that can positively affect every aspect of your life because there’s an intimate connection between our physical surroundings and our psychological well-being.”

Mrg, who tells people that her name rhymes with “Berg,” will be in San Saba on Tuesday, May 7, from 10:00-12:00 at the First Methodist Church where she will present a “Decluttering Seminar.” The seminar is sponsored by Thinking of You, an interdenominational service group in San Saba. The cost of the workshop is $10.00 at the door. Refreshments will be served. People attending are asked to bring their favorite cotton t- shirt for hands- on learning.
