Community Foundation awards $12,000 to Support New County Animal Shelter

San Saba County Friends of Animals is proud to announce that the Community Foundation of San Saba has generously awarded the organization a $12,000 grant to support the construction of the county’s first animal shelter.

The funds will be used specifically to help purchase dog and cat kennels for the new facility, which is set to open soon. These kennels are a vital part of creating a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for animals in need while they wait for their forever homes. “We are incredibly grateful for the Community Foundation’s investment in this important project,” said Regina Baker of San Saba County Friends of Animals. “This support brings us one step closer to providing a safe shelter and compassionate care for lost, abandoned, and neglected animals in our county.”

The new shelter marks a major milestone for San Saba County and would not be possible without the generosity and partnership of local organizations and community members.
