    Last week, Jack Carroll visited the San Saba News & Star office and shared with us these treasures from history. He has been doing research on SSHS back when his dad was a student.

    Mr. Carroll’s dad, Rusty Carroll, played football and also played tuba in the band. Mr. Carroll said his dad would play the first half of the game, change into his band uniform, march with the band for the halftime show, and then change back into his football uniform to play the second half of the game.

    He said he still has some research to do and would like to find out the names of all the people in these photos.
