Hello from Bend!
Daylight Saving Time is this weekend! I hope everyone is prepared to ask (and hear) the infamous question of… “What time is it”?! I don’t know about you, but I always dread adjusting to the time change. It’s amazing how one hour of time, and daylight (or lack thereof), can have such an impact. How many people do you think will have the correct time on their vehicle clocks now? Or incorrect time? You know what I’m talking about! Everyone has encountered one of those pesky clocks before. Clocks that are ridiculously impossible to change; therefore it spends two seasons each year either an hour ahead or an hour behind.
Thankfully, we’ve gotten plenty of joyous occasions to distract us from the time change.
It’s been busy around the Bend. Mickey and Jill Henniger made it in town last week to visit from their residence in Nederland, Colorado. I’m hoping that Patsy will ask them to leave the cold weather up yonder next time. *smile* No matter what the weather, it is always great to see loved ones coming back home to Bend. I wish we had more of it, and more often! As cliche` as it is to say….there really is no place like home.
A big “Happy Birthday” goes out this week to Michael Brister on March 11th. I’m betting it’s going to be a great one, especially if Gennifer is making the cake. Yumm!
Sharon Lloyd was doubly blessed on her birthday this year, as her brand new granddaughter made her entrance into the world. How neat to be able to share a birthday together. Willow Breeze Teague was born on March 6, 2022, weighing in at a healthy 7 lbs 8 oz. Congratulations to Sharon and welcome to the world, Willow!!!
There are more birthdays/anniversaries to announce next week; until then I will leave you with these reminders:
• Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life Service/Memorial in honor of Teresa Diane Lemons, Saturday, March 12th - 2:00 p.m. - High Valley Baptist Church.
• Don’t miss the Bend Community Meetings on the 3rd Saturday of each month located at the Bend Schoolhouse at 6:00 p.m. The next meeting will be Saturday, March 19th! We hope to see all of your smiling faces.
As always, please feel free to reach out to me if you have something you’d like to share! No update is too big or too small …… Anything and everything counts as news in Bend. *wink*
Your truly,
Brabdie from the Bend
