The Bend News

Hello from Bend!

I hope everyone had an amazing Easter weekend! My family and I celebrated at the Bend UMC Sunrise Service. It was a great turn out and really filled my soul to see so many people gather on such an occasion! Bobby Hicks led the service and did a fine job. I wouldn’t have expected anything less; he is always such a joy to listen to! Service was followed by breakfast and fellowship.

Birthdays this week include: Tommy Ketchum, April 22; Tina Light, April 27; and Josh Henni-ger, 28th. Happiest of birthdays to all of you!

Patsy Henniger, along with sisters, Penny Clark and Carrie Keeney, recently visited the nursing and rehabilitation home in San Saba. Patsy was happy to report that their sister, Nancy Hicks, is doing well. The crew also stopped in and visited with Clovis Gibson while they were there. Patsy said that Clovis was also doing well and enjoyed the visit! Please continue to send well wishes and prayers!

In other news, Warren Spivey would like to remind everyone that the Colony Memorial Cemetery Association will be having their 52nd Homecoming and Annual Meeting on April 30th!

For those who would like to attend, please meet at the Colony Church and Cemetery; bring your favorite dish and be ready to enjoy lunch at noon! Guests are encouraged to come early to allow for visiting time. The cemetery is maintained by your contributions; if you are unable to attend the meeting and would like to make a donation, please call Warren at 325-628-3284. Contributions can also be made to: Colony Memorial Cemetery; 1777 CR 1750; Lometa Texas 76853.

Thank you to those who reached out with information this week. Please keep the news coming!

Until next week… Yours Truly,

Yours Truly,

Brandie from the Bend
