The veterans of the Wiley B. Murray Post No. 27 will meet Friday, November 10th. A short business meeting will be held at the Fellowship building of the 2nd & Wallace Church of Christ. The commander will provide assorted doughnuts. All interested veterans are invited to attend.
A Veterans Day program will be held at the San Saba Elementary School that evening at 6:00 p.m. A patriotic program will be presented by students of the elementary school.
Used Flag Drop Box Available to the public
Do you fly the flag and perhaps have used ones that need disposing? Ever wonder what the proper retirement method should be for your proud old standard? A used flag drop box is available located in a convenient location between the San Saba Police Department and Rylander Public Library.
In the 2015 agreement between San Saba Lodge No. 612, American Legion Post No. 27 and BSA-Troop No. 55 and the City, the Scouts bear the responsibility for disposing of the flags. In case the utility box fills up, there are telephone contact numbers on the box to call.
