Alice in Ohio is wondering about the election results in Texas last Tuesday. I will be voting tomorrow, Tuesday, March 12th. I am not familiar with candidates except one, the incumbent senator who was in a 4-H group with my daughter Lisa.
Many 'positions' in life rely on a majority vote. Years ago, the organist of the church choir I was directing decided she wanted to be the director so the choir voted. I lost by one vote. I was not prepared to lose so was broken hearted forgetting the two proxy votes in my pocket that I didn't submit. For a month, I sat in the congregation with sadness. I came across an article that stated situations in life will make you better or bitter so you needed God's help. With God's help I was able to join the choir and gained the love and respect of many.
I noticed that on Saturday, March 2nd, people enjoyed 'A Night at the Museum' in San Saba. Edward Flores gave his presentation on sheep shearing, a great photo of him. I hope that he and his wife will stop and visit me again this year when they visit their son and family here in Ohio.
