Alice in Wonder Land

After church on Sunday, January 28th, I drove 30 minutes to Heath, Ohio, where I ate lunch at Fazoli's in a shopping center. In this shopping center was Sophie's Thrift Store where 100% of the proceeds benefit the Licking County Humane Society. My companion cat Dinah came from the LCHS so I stopped and shopped. I purchased a king size new blanket that I needed to cover my sofa bed (so Dinah would not scratch it) for $4.99 and four books for 99 cents. The book Journey of Hope, Memoirs of a Mexican Girl by Rosalina Rosay, copyright 2007, caught my eyes and heart. When I arrived back home, Dinah and I ate our supper, and I started reading the book and finished it at 10 p.m.

I plan to give the book to my friend Blanca Kilpatrick who may know the area in Mexico where Rosalina lived because she visited her hometown in Mexico two times last year.

When I open my refrigerator door, Dinah comes and looks intently inside to see about that purr she hears. I will find her laying in front of it watching and waiting. Oh how I want to be that persistent to watch and wait to hear from God. Many times I make decisions without praying. I need to sing this song every day: 'They That Wait Upon The Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles. They shall run and not be weary they shall walk and not faint. Teach me Lord, teach me Lord, to wait.'
