This is a busy time of the year. Songs tell about it, and commercials relay the message. Families need to plan well with a lot of cooperation as they work together to celebrate the birth of Jesus on December 25th, proclaimed as Christmas in the USA.
The response from the San Saba community to the sad news that the San Saba County Friends of Animals would discontinue operations was incredible. People sent letters, called, and they must've prayed because a couple that have been volunteers are interested in continuing part of the program and hopefully others will come forward to have a place for both cats and dogs.
When I was going over the November 2nd paper regarding the above information, I saw a photo of Bill Grusendorf being honored as a player for the 1948 Waco High Tigers state championship team. Congratulations, Mr. G! I was a member of the community band that Mr. Grusendorf directed that was 'shut down' because of covid in 2020.
Many times I am confused about the English language. For instance, as we are shopping for a present I see 13 examples for the use of 'present' in the dictionary. The 1st explanation is 'in attendance' and the 8th is 'a gift'. The King James Bible Psalms 46:1-3 reads......God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. Jesus Is Our Best Present Ever!!!
