Alice in Wonder Land

After supper (sometimes called dinner) on Sunday, October 8th, I decided to watch a movie that I selected on Prime on my TV. I selected a movie showing a cowboy on a ranch because it reminded me of Texas where I lived for 15 years. I disregarded the notice of negative things in the movie. Shortly after the movie started, I realized it was gruesome but watched to the end and saw the cowboy rescue an Indian woman from a very bad situation.

I needed something to change the atmosphere so I watched a movie about Chonda Pierce, a Christian comedian. I was able to relax and replace tension with laughter. By the end of the movie, I realized how similar our situations are. She is a widow and has a daughter who is estranged from her. My husband Larry died in Texas on 11-22-20, and my oldest daughter Lisa has made the choice to be estranged from me for nine years.

The news reports today is about the Hamas militants at-tacking Israel by killing, taking hostages and destruction. Also in the news are reports of company strikes by unions with outrageous demands, the USA government being a vote away from closing, crime increasing, and today Walgreens has been added to the on-strike list. Our leaders need wisdom in all these situations, and we need to pray like we have never prayed before.

The book of Proverbs in the Bible has the theme of universal principles for living with wisdom, knowledge, understanding, instruction, and the fear of the Lord. The following is from the New King James Version... Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. 4:14 Do not enter the path of the wicked, and do not walk in the way of evil. 4:18 But the path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines brighter unto the perfect day.

May y'all have a PERFECT DAY!
